Contact Your Representative!

Our elected leaders are supposed to represent and protect us. Share your concerns with your elected representatives and let them know you don’t want data centers in our community. Below are links to find your representatives.

We have three kinds of representatives:

  1. We have county commissioners who are county leaders.

2. We have state senators and delegates who represent us in the West Virginia state legislature in Charleston.

3. We have federal senators and representatives who represent us in Congress in Washington D.C.

You can contact any or all of them to express your concerns.

We encourage you to be polite and specific about why you don’t want data centers in our community.

We have a zero tolerance policy for harassment. All contact information was found on official government websites.

I am writing you because I am very concerned about the construction of data centers in Berkeley and Jefferson Counties. Data centers harm our community by lowering property values, increasing utility rates, and providing few long-term jobs. While I appreciate the Governor's efforts to bring additional jobs to the state, Berkeley and Jefferson counties are already high growth areas. Data centers could be beneficial for poor areas of the state, but they can only do harm in our area.

I am asking you to work with other state and local leaders to prevent the construction of new data centers in Berkeley and Jefferson Counties.

Thank you for your support and for protecting our community.
